About Kit Davey...

My mission is to spread delight across the planet!  I make snarky greeting cards so you can stay connected with family and friends, and I hope my playful artist books and found object pieces inspire your creativity and energize your joy. I love seeing people laugh and snort as they read one of my cards or turn the pages of one of my books.  My art is eco-friendly:  I only use recycled or found materials, scrounged from flea markets, garage sales, library sales, and yes, the trash!

I have been making art my whole life and I hope to continue doing so 'til my parachute fails on my 90th birthday.  I have taught art at Foothill and De Anza Colleges (Community Services) and the Palo Alto Adult School since 1993.  I also taught Book Arts at the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto.  I offer private classes in my Redwood City studio, and on Zoom.  Check out my "Classes and Events" page for my schedule. My students find me to be creative, fun and well-organized.  My work has been shown at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles and the De Saisset Museum.

You can buy my work here on my site, at local art fairs and at the Bay Area Book Artist's Book Jam.  You can also set up a private viewing of my work.  Give me a call: 650-346-0520. I post to Instagram every day and you can see my latest work there @daveykit.
